There is a problem with our democracy.
Only 4% of people feel truly represented by Westminster.
If you are a young person you are half as likely to vote than someone over 70.
People feel unseen, unheard and under represented.
Why?
Because we only vote in four year cycles, leaving us disconnected from the political system.
Our politics is missing context.
Context is what we see on the ground level, in our daily lives.
It is missing our experience, our opinions, our voice.
We share our opinions in our homes, with our friends, in our communities, in our chat groups, on our feeds. But our voice is not heard by the people that make decisions.
LondonVOICE is an experiment that aims to collect voices from across London so that they can be listened to.
It works with voting technology, designed to start with a blank ballot. It collects our opinions, allows us to reach consensus on what really matters and provides us with a platform to share our true opinions.
Those opinions are collected by the software, so that they can be fed to an AI.
LondonVOICE is a digital representative, controlled by the people.
It is trained to help us understand what we really want, how we want to see London change.
It is a voice of a community that can be shaped by the community itself.
We think AI and voting technologies are the way in which we can make sense of the world, and also help those in power make sense of what we think and believe.
Join us and share what is important to you, help us build a unified voice of London. A voice that you control. A voice that can make a difference in your lives.
